You might be a...

I swear the commercial carriage industry needs a punch line similar to something like Larry the cable guy had with his famous "You might be a redneck". Only ours would say something different. Something more like "you might be a dumb@$$" The above photo would be a perfect illustration for the phrase. Then we need a follow up one like "you might be a double dumb@$$" and I hate to say it but that could go on from there to triple, quadruple, etc.

How many attacks of dumb@ss would you assign to the above photo? I give them a great big fat one for putting a bride in a dress on a hitched horses back in the first place. I give them another for the fact that its half a team. I mean seriously, what could go wrong? right. Its not like she just runs a risk of falling off the horses back to the ground at 17 hands or so. Sitting sidesaddle in wedding gown she could fall backwards between TWO HORSES and have twice the fun! Hey...if she doesn't get stomped or run over by a carriage wheel she might end up with a really cool story to tell her kids one day about how she "rode the pole" between two bolting horses on her wedding day! Assuming of course after that she could still have kids. SMH.

Then lets give them another one for using what appears to be the groom for a header. One last dumb@SS award for putting the picture on the internet for everyone that knows all that's wrong with this to see, and everyone who doesn't to possibly emulate. Knowing how these ********* ( well you know) operate I'd bet you a $100 bill that there is nobody in the box and its the carriage driver who is taking the picture. I'd sincerely hope I'd lose that bet, yet... sincerely doubt I would.

There is always a full color constant reminder of the amount of willfully dangerous nonsense that goes on in this industry on the internet. It is nothing short of a miracle that we don't hear of more accidents than we already do. Though I have to say I'm not even sure you can call this sort of thing an accident if harm were to materialize as a result. I think it might be more descriptive to call it the fruits of chaotic stupidity.

Yep...its high time for that fitting phrase. Even if its just between the professionals that never partake in such idiocy. I often need to remind myself that there are people out there doing a really conscientious job offering an experience that is well planned, well thought out, and safely executed.

My hat is always off to the true professionals.
